Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reunited after months apart as she receives Hollywood humanitarian award

Their togetherness has become such a fixed point in popular culture that they even have a collective name.
But the entity that is Brangelina has been split into it's constituent parts over the past three months as Mr Pitt and Ms Jolie undertook various work commitments across the globe.

In fact, it's been over three months since the power couple were spotted together at an event; they both attended Tokyo premiere of World War Z on July 29.

Brad, who turns 50 next month, has had an arduous year with retakes on World War Z in England earlier in the year and then promotion for the movie; which proved a commercial success but critical failure.
He's also been overseeing publicity for the epic 12 Years A Slave and filming Fury, again in the UK.
Angelina, 38, has been focusing on her second directorial debut, Unbroken, in Australia.

The film is based on a biography by Laura Hillenbrand, Unbroken tells the story of World War II aviator Louis Zamperini, a former Olympian who spent 47-days marooned on raft after his plane crashed into the Pacific, only to be discovered by the Japanese and sent to a POW camp, where he spent the next two-and-a-half years.
It's very much a labour of love, and ever the professional, it's taken up most of the mother of six's time since she recovered from the preventative double mastectomy she had earlier in the year.
Brad too has needed to focus on his two pet projects; so the pair will be undoubtedly overjoyed to be spending time together again, especially at such a happy event.
The proud parents also had the pleasure of their eldest child, Maddox, 12, at the event.
Angelina looked simply beautiful in a black gown that swept the floor and boasted a small train.

Angelina was joined by Angela Lansbury, Steve Martin and Italian costume designer Piero Tosi (La Traviata, La Cage Aux Folles) in receiving a golden Oscar statuette.
The green-eyed beauty, who is directing her latest film Unbroken, was reportedly 'completely surprised' when she learned that she would be getting the prestigious Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.
